Opposition rejects Maduro’s new law of association

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, yesterday announced a new law that puts limits on social protests and represents an important step in the control of the country’s opposition. The reactions were immediate. Parliament’s opposition majority rejected the law passed earlier by the National Constituent Assembly which it says “promotes hatred, division and destruction of the country.”
