Gabriel challenges Sáenz de Santamaría
Former CUP spokesperson Anna Gabriel denounced yesterday the “total collusion” of the PP with the judicial system, in reference to a statement by Spain’s deputy PM, Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, who boasted of having “decapitated “separatism. “Where is the separation of powers?” asked Gabriel appealing to the left to not “resign themselves” and avoid opening the way for the constitutionalist parties. Gabriel warned against complacence and said a clear victory was the only was to rid Catalonia of Article 155, and lashed out at the state and its “unhealthy obsession to defend the indissoluble unity ” of a country with an identity designed to safeguard the interests of a minority and maintain its privileges.
