First British skiers arrive at Lleida-Alguaire

The first flights of this year’s season bringing skiers from the UK landed yesterday morning at Lleida-Alguaire without problem. Heavy fog had forced planes arriving earlier when the season opened on December 21 to divert to Reus Airport. The improvement in conditions yesterday allowed operations to resume normally on a day when it was expected that 720 British skiers would arrive. Tour operator Neilson expects an increase of 5% in the number of passengers and turnover this year.
