Five years for sexual abuse of daughter
A 40-year-old man accused of raping his daughter, aged 13 has accepted a five-year prison sentence for a crime of continuous sexual abuse. The trial was to be held yesterday i but eventually the parties reached an agreement which recognises the accused’s confession as attenuant to sentence. The man, who has served one year in jail will also face a retraining order of five years on release.
