The former treasurer of the PP, Jose Manuel Romay Beccaria, said yesterday that it was evident “at times” there was irregular financing in the party, which he regretted, although he said he did not detect “any illegal behaviour” when he was in charge of party finances. Beccaria took over as treasurer in 2010 when Luis Barcenas was asked to resign.
