DMD renews demand for legal euthanasia

The Right to die with Dignity Association (DMD) has insisted that Spain’s parliament pass a law on euthanasia following the increase in the number of people who have chosen to register a “Living Will”, last year in Catalonia. During 2017 more than 8,200 decided to put into writing how they wished to end their days should they be hospitalised in a terminal incapacitated condition.

The key to the 2-0 victory was a superb first half by the local team with goals scored by Alcacer and Messi, with the possibility of many more. Traffic back to normal in Manresa centre

After nearly a year of construction, traffic has returned to normal in the centre of Manresa with the opening yesterday of the new plaça de la Bonavista. The Councilor for Urban Planning, Marc Aloy, said yesterday that “it is one of those days which will be remembered in the history of the city.” The works cover an area of 10,600 m² and have involved an investment of more than €2 million.

Thousands marched through Paris and other cities in protest over higher social security taxes on Thursday, in a warning to President Emmanuel Macron whose popularity is falling in a key voter constituency. The ebbing support for Macron among the retired was a factor in the by-election defeat his party suffered last month. Pensioner discontent is a delicate issue for the former banker:
