First non-stop Australia-UK flight lands

The first non-stop flight between Australia and the United Kingdom landed yesterday at 5.03 am as scheduled at London’s Heathrow airport. The flight, operated by the Australian national carrier Qantas took just 17 hours after leaving its destination in Perth, Western Australia. The plane, a 787-9 Dreamliner considered twice as efficient as the Boeing 747, carried 200 passengers.
