Suicide bomber kills at least 57 in Kabul attack

A suicide bomber blew himself up outside a voter registration centre in the Afghan capital Kabul on Sunday, killing at least 57 people and injuring more than 100, in the most serious attack yet on preparations for elections scheduled for October. At least eight of the victims were children. The attack is a blow to the government’s plan to hold parliamentary elections later this year.
