Protesters demand resignation
Thousands of Guatemalans demanded the resignation of the country’s president, Jimmy Morales, for his inability to deal with the emergency caused by the violent eruption of the Fuego volcano on June 3, which has already caused 110 deaths, left 197 missing and more than has affected 1.7 million people. The 3,763 metre volcano, is located 50 kilometres west of the Guatemalan capital.
