Legendary commentator to hang up his mike
A national figure in sports broadcasting and the man who covered nearly every game played by FC Barcelona since the 1968/69 season, Joaquim Maria Puyal, has announced he will hang up his mike after 42 years on the job to “reorientate his professional life.” Puyal was one of the first commentators to give full commentaries in Catalan. He will be replaced by Bernat Soler.
