60% of welfare volunteers are women

Catalonia has 24,000 welfare entities, with more than 1.5 million people active, mainly thanks to the collaboration of about 510,000 volunteers. A study prepared by the Department of Work, Social Affairs and Families, with the support of the welfare observatory and the entities concludes, among many other things, that 60% of those regularly volunteering continue to be women
