Caballé tribute concert set for April 12 at Liceu
The tribute concert for soprano Montserrat Caballé, who died on October 6 aged 85, will take place on April 12 in Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu. The event will be directed by theatre director Lluís Pasqual, a close friend of the Caballé family. Taking part will be renowned figures of opera, such as Josep Carreras, Jaume Aragall, Joan Pons, Al Bano, Paata Burchuladze, Begoña Alberdi, María Gallego and Josep Bros. Via video link, others will pay their respects, including Plácido Domingo, Riccardo Muti and Ainhoa Arteta.
