Nissan plants to stop making NV200 diesel van

The Nissan plants in Barcelona and Montcada i Reixac will stop making the diesel model of the NV200 van in the summer and will focus on assembly of the electric model of the van, the e-NV200. The Japanese company made the announcement public in a press statement yesterday, with the union representatives inside the company saying it would leave production vulnerable, as the electric version of the vehicle sells less around the world. Yet, the company said it expected sales of the van to grow next year.
