Barcelona take on Sevilla with two ‘classics’ coming up
Real Madrid’s shock 2-1 home defeat to Girona last weekend may have given Barcelona a seven-point lead at the top of the table, but the Catalans face a tough test against Sevilla today at 4.15pm. What’s more, Barça face two trips to the Spanish capital next week, when they face Real Madrid in the second leg of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday, followed by a league clash at the weekend. That means Ernesto Valverde’s side will want to avoid dropping points at all costs today, although Sevilla are unlikely to make that easy.
