Pope urges EU to rediscover its good soul
Both right and left-wing parties of the European Parliament applauded yesterday as Pope Francis scolded the twenty-eight countries of the EU for having put economic interests and not people at the centre of their policies. In the first papal visit since 1988. he asked “What dignity can a person aspire to who has no food, nor the most basic means of survival, or worse, no work?“
