Fire on hotel rooftop causes plume of smoke
A fire on the roof of the Expo Hotel located next to Sants station at noon yesterday resulted in a large column of smoke and forced the temporary evacuation of some 300 clients and employees. The fire originated when workers were welding ventilation and air conditioning machinery on the roof of the building. The column of smoke was visible from different parts of the city.
