Brexit could cause critical shortages

Leaving the European Union without an agreement with Brussels could cause the lack of basic resources such as medicines, food and fuel in the United Kingdom, according to a report prepared by British officials and published yesterday by The Sunday Times. The report outlines three possible immediate outcomes. One of those would be the closure of the port of Dover which would lead to critical shortages in foodstuffs, energy resources and most importantly vital medicines. It is estimated that poorly communicated areas like Cornwall would see supermarkets emptied in 48 hours as the result of a collapse in the transport sector. There are also fears that similar important reports have not been made public.
