La Liga signs deal to take regular matches to US

La Liga is to be the first league in Europe to put on matches in the US and Canada. In a deal with entertainment group Relevent, the newly-formed La Liga North America aims to expand the reach of Spain’s top-flight beyond its borders. Competitive fixtures are part of the agreement, which will allow North American football fans to see the likes of Leo Messi and Gareth Bale.
