Open Arms docks in Spain with 311 refugees from

The Open Arms arrived in Spain yesterday, at the Bay of Algeciras (Cadiz), with 311 refugees aboard, from nineteen countries, rescued a week ago in the Mediterranean. They have been interned at the temporary care centre for foreigners (CATE), in the port in San Roque. Pedro Sánchez’s government authorized the disembarkation, after Italy and Malta refused to open their ports to the refugees, who include 139 minors among their number, the majority of whom were rescued from Libyan waters.
