Macron’s government hit by another scandal

The beleaguered French president, Emmanuel Macron will have been disapppointed to see his ex-aide’s name in the headlines again. Alexandre Benalla, fired for beating anti-government protesters last summer, has visited Chad, only weeks before Macron is to do so, making mysterious use of two diplomatic passports, to meet military procurement officials, whilst supposedly on “private” business.
