Lying to seed fear

Donald Trump is pouring effort into reinforcing the pillars of his campaign for re-election. He’s got to show he has fulfilled promises, and his border wall is what he promised. After the midterm elections where he lost his majority in the House of Representatives, he is now fighting for 5.7 billion dollars in public money for a wall that Mexico was supposedly going to pay for, which he now expects his taxpayers to fund. The current tug-of-war is of crucial importance for Trump, and he will no doubt have to lie, misrepresent, exaggerate and use all sorts of falsehoods to frighten the American people enough to justify a wall which will save them from the imaginary crisis he has fixed in their minds.
