Planning for more Russian missiles in Europe

NATO secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg said yesterday that the alliance is planning a “conventional” response rather than deploying new nuclear warheads in Europe in the wake of US and Russian announcements about abandoning the 1987 INF treaty banning ground-launched mid-range missiles. According to the secretary-general, NATO is mainly concentrating on preserving the treaty.
