Spain in the form of Rodalies

The Rodalies rail service that connects the capital of the country with its local area, allowing for the daily flux of workers and other users, was again found wanting with a stoppage in the service that confirms the neglect, inoperability and state of abandonment of this infrastructure. Though managed by the Generalitat, the service depends on a State that it is increasingly clear is using the service as a means of political extortion against the population of Catalonia. The users of the service should understand that the lack of investment and the permanent state of indolence with which the public operator Adif deals with Catalonia's rail infrastructure is typical of an imperial venture that provides a service in a colonial manner, because it considers investing in Catalonia as spending money on a second-class public that is only there to fund pharaonic structures in other areas in order to show that the real capital is Madrid.

The public suffering this ignominy must see that this is the price that has to be paid if it wants Catalonia to remain part of Spain. The Rodalies user has for years seen ministers arriving from Madrid promising millions in investment and new works that experience shows is just a way of convincing waverers and those who want to delude themselves. This intolerable situation, of one intensity or another, has been going on for a decade and now energetically protesting or calling urgent meetings is no longer enough. What is needed is to plan how to disconnect from the State and give up on trusting in the empty words of an incompetent ministry.
